Resting in the hands of Jesus

I don't know how to write this email....
We have known for some time that Angela was pregnant. Then about 3 weeks ago Angela went in for an ultrasound and we found out that she was pregnant with twins! But, there looked to be some possible problems with one of them. She had another ultrasound 10 days later and we found out they are both dead.
This has been a tough few weeks, but Christ is faithful. It is good to be able to rest in the arms of Jesus and be able to trust in His sovereign grace. They have been very tough times, and yet Jesus has been so sweet, it is really hard to explain. This time has been stressful with this and alot of other things that were alluded to in the last post. And yet we have a very real understanding that God is good.
The only way I can really explain it maybe this:
"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." -Philippians 4:4-7
We appreciate your prayers to Christ, our comfort...

  1. Jon and Ang... I don't know what to say, other than I'm terribly sorry to hear this news. To have those hopes and see them pass by... must be tough. I'll be praying for you. I'll ask the Holy Spirit to counsel and comfort you.

  2. Hey Guys...I too am so sorry at this news. My prayers are with you. I thank you both for having such amazing hearts and for knowing God is in control. It's inspiring to me. God will bless you guys for that...He promises.

  3. Thanks guys, we appreciate knowing you are praying for us. God is good, and He will continue to be.
