Kiwi Lingo II

Excuse me? Come again? or in the wonderful phrase of our sons... Whadjasay?






Who can tell us what these "strange as" Kiwi sayings mean?



1. Cake the break

=Spread mineral dust for cows on the grass in the paddock for the cattle


2. Tah

=New Zealand short version of Thank You

3. Grub Screw

= a set screw

4. Flex

=Extension cord

5. Torch

=Flash Light

6. Gypsy Day

=The day for exchanging farms, or moving to a new farm.  Basically June 1, which is the beginning of a new dairy season.

7. Scroggin Mix

=Trail Mix

8.  "It's a real mission"

=Very difficult and complicated task

9.  Bits in a biscuit

=something like chocolate chips in a cookie
