Wheat, Mud and Blue Skies

God blessed our family and farm last week abundantly. The wheat is done, hallelujah, with many miracles to tell...3 inches of rain and combining the next day, rain forecasts graciously ignored by the rainmaker, neighbors offering kind help. What a week. Thank you, God!

And when the dust settles, chaff all blown away, what do our farmers like to do for fun?

They look for dirt, of course; ! Dirt after great fellowship, along with great fellowship. And blue skies and exploring with loved ones.

Thank you, God for all your blessings last week and hope for this week to come. We join with the gratitude community this week and count our blessings below:

  1. i can't help but smile at the images of your little one and all-golden curls. it reminds me of the fox in the little prince: your hair is the color of wheat, so whenever i see it, i shall think of you (or some such, i think i paraphrased!). so sweet.
rain and mud and fellowship and Love. :)

  2. Love your pictures. I definitely empathize with the joy and gratitude of harvest. My dad hasn't even gotten through planting and harvest soon enough the last two years to get a wheat crop in, so the sight of all that golden glory brings tears to my eyes. (As does the Case combine.) :)
