Welcome Spring

Hello Spring, hello little one!

We've been watching for you. Calving time is here...

Fresh squawks and bright wings we welcome home, too.

And muddy boots and open roads...

Hills passable again...

Oh how good spring feels! New birth, warm sunrays, motherly nuzzles...

And the urge to spring clean? Oh dear...

How quickly can clothes on the floor turn this Mama into a bear? Argh. I struggled this week with a horrible attitude. I do not enjoy being in the middle of long, drawn out projects. After being blessed with a wonderful heap of clothes from a friend, I set out to organize them. Ever been there? Suddenly before they can be organized the room they are going into needs to be seriously re-thought, sorted, gutted, purged, yadayadyada...Thank you God for a forgiving, patient husband and son. They showed me God's grace this week.
The final product I am finishing today and excited about. My sister-in-law gave me this idea. Lay out all of a certain size clothes, throw a labeled card on top and take a picture. I did this with all of Abraham's clothes (and shoes) sizes 4T on up. Then I'm going to make them into a little photobook for free that I can take with me thrifting and to Mom-to-mom sales and garage sales. I'll just jot notes on the pages as to what I need and possibly staple another picture on if I add a lot or jot down additions. Thank you, Arin! I am really geeked about this idea. I love your creativity!

Little boy giggles always help Mama grumpiness...

As does new life in our backyard and my hubby's joy about it...

It's good to clean the household junk out once and awhile...
and even better for God to clean the junk out of our lives, to wash clean our hearts.
