Settling In

Well here is a little more info about their first week in Guinea, that they had sent along a few days ago.
Jonathan is having a fun time getting used to daily tasks taking more labor since they have to do it by hand. One task in particular is getting water, they have to hand pump it into 5 gallon jugs that take 85-90 pumps each, they use several for their place alone then much more at the other place, since they have bigger family and Jonathan and Angela have been enjoying their cooking, yumm. Angela had fun learning how to knead, as she helped with some of the cooking, and baking.
At the time of getting their last email Abraham had final just gotten his first good night of sleep since they had arrived at their place in Guinea. Also pray for angela please as her fear of snakes is still around and causing some anxiety.
Abraham is also allowing a cool connection with some of the local people that they are in contact with that also have babies.
Oh yeah, and a little about them arriving, the city was busy and running like a typical African city for the most part, it reminded them a fair bit of Lusaka when they were there. Yet, the militarty was present also as they had to go through a couple checkpoints in the city that did not slow them much at all and went smoothly. Seems like the people there are glad for change as the new government has taken some steps already to streighten things out from how messed up they had become over the last numerous decades.
Sorry about being pretty scatter brained, now you know some of what is going on, I have not heard anything yet about their treck this weekend, but I know your continued prayers for them are greatly appreciated.

Hey Lu, thanks for posting the updates. Any way that I can try and send an email to jongela? Are they using the same email address that they usually do? In any case, let them know that Bic and Mel are excited to read their updates and are praying for them. Thanks!!

  2. Yes, sending to their normal address is fine, they should get it some time. The satellite modem still is not working though so nothing will be getting to them as of now.
