Old Friend

We have been feeling a bit sorry for our friends and family back home, missing out on Second Winter.  Having to put up with nasty hot summer weather.  The sun it burns them...

We woke up to snow on the ground, but the early morning rain melted it all on the flats.  But it is still there in our rainforest...
And on our mountain...

As we arrived in Invercargill we started seeing cars with snow on them.  As we travelled deeper in to town the snow picked up.
Here you go Selah. This is the outside.
Arriving at church with lots of snow on the ground.  We were soooo thankful :). It has been almost an entire month since we were able to stomp on snow still left over from our Michigan snow banks.  It snowed, rained, and hailed off and on all afternoon as we spent the afternoon with a sweet awesome couple that invited us over for lunch after church.
Then we had the adventure of driving for the first time on the left side of the road through 30+mph snow squalls most of the way home.
Then when we got home...

Ok, just kidding, this was Michigan, the sun is setting here at 5 so we were driving home in the dark in the snow storms.

  2. Hi Ruth,

Thanks so much for reading. I'm sure you miss the people of Grace so much. They are wonderful. Wish we could have seen your family again. Thanks for your help settling in.
