Of course not! This story is a little continuation of A Dark, Dank Hole, a post that Jonathan shared before Christmas.
Recap: This winter Jonathan and my dad decided to run a water line out to our red shed (we have 2 sheds - the other is cement block, aka, the gray shed).
The red shed had previously been used to store hay or had sat empty.
With the ever multiplying Shupe cattle population, a new home for some bovine was needed.
Cows obviously need water, hence the water line.
Well, what started out as a big project, ended up as a really big, messy project. Part of the line was cut - oops!
In the process of fixing this, many lovely tire tracks, ruts and stones, along with a long mound of dirt, were left on our lawn.
Did I despair? A little:). While I am not a very fussy yard person, I do not like a messy, chaotic yard.
This spring, a couple weeks back, my Dad and Jonathan graciously fixed the huge gopher tunnel that was running from our garage, through the back yard, past the grey shed, back to the red shed ( if you can't visualize this - you need to come visit us:)).
So, Jonathan borrowed his brothers' new (used) loader and had some fun leveling out a load of dirt that was delivered.
My Dad and I smoothed it out a bit more, then planted some grass seed. It is now just starting to come up. Yahoo! Messy chaos no more. Thanks Jonathan and Dad! Thanks also to my Mom, who was busy weeding our strawberries or doing other very helpful things while we worked on this.
