The windmills are all up!

Here are some random pics we took of the windmill raising that recently took place just down the road from us. We were a bit fascinated by it (hence the many pictures:))...


They made special driveways into the fields for the exceptionally long loads that had to be moved, like the blade on this semi.


The blades were joined together on the ground before being raised.


The super duper crane at work raising part of the tower.


Jonathan got to watch one of the propellers being lifted (not sure if that's the right terminology, but it's the best I could come up with!).


I was a bit bummed I didn't get to see any go up:(.


The wires connected to the propeller as it was being raised - guide wires, I guess?


Can you see the little person up there? Yikes!
